This circa 1890s tintype photo shows two young soldiers involved in the United States Indian Wars conflict of the late 19th century.
Based upon their uniform chevrons, one soldier is a Corporal, the other a Company QM Sergeant. They pose in a studio setting flanking a pillar which bears a menacing-looking face, their rather messy bedrolls on the floor in the foreground.
Tintype measures approximately 2 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ inches.
