c1822 Thomas Lord Busby Costume of the Lower Orders of the Metropolis Hand Colored Plates in Full Red Morocco. Bookplate for Mario Serandrei possibly the Italian film editor and screenwriter.
This charming set of prints depicts the outfits used by itinerant sellers and laborers in the early nineteenth century. According to Beall, the plates were published to accompany Samuel Leigh’s New Picture of London, but they were also sold individually.
