This antique manuscript sold at auction for $108 in February, 2014

This original antique manuscript dates to circa 1630 and was signed by a Catholic Cardinal of the Vatican.

The document contains five pages and its text begins with a dissertation on the Life and Death of the Virgin Mary, devotions and meditations for the church, the 17th century manuscript also mentions the Church of Sant’Orsola (Mantua) . The document is well penned and is signed on the final page by one of the Cardinals present – it was part of a much larger collection of papal documents obtained in England, some of which were stamped by the College of Cardinals.

Roughly 90% of the handwritten text is still legible, though some of the ink has burned through the fragile, yellowed paper.
